Over 20 young people were trained on Youth,
Peace and Security in Transition under the theme: Youth: Critical Pillars in
Gambia’s Transition. Cognizant of the potential of the youth demographic in
every aspect of our development endeavors particularly in the peace and
security in our Transitional Justice, it is imperative to equip young people
with the knowledge and skills that will build their capacity and strengthen the
gains of the TJ efforts. It is our conviction that young people are the most
critical stakeholders in promoting peace, social cohesion and consolidating the
outcomes of our TJ evident of their number in relation to our population, their
energy and innovation. It is in this light that we are building the capacity of
20 young people including yourself on Youth, Peace and security in transitional
Justice.
